OLYMPIA, WA — FC Olympia, a USL national soccer market club, has officially partnered with Washington Premier Football Club (WPFC) — one of the most prestigious youth soccer organizations in the state of Washington — all to unite their missions of developing elite players and creating a path to professional soccer.
Under the new partnership, FC Olympia will become the official adult soccer programming entity for Washington Premier FC, offering opportunities for top high school, collegiate, and professional-level alumni to continue their development at the USL level. The move helps with the sharing of resources to include Washington Premier coaches, game day support and marketing efforts.

USL (United Soccer League) is one of the largest soccer organizations in the United States boasting “path to pro” soccer from academy level competition, college-level tier four soccer to professional clubs with USL League One, USL Championship and USL Super League with pro stadium partnerships around the country.
Beginning spring 2026, athletes from Washington Premier will have the opportunity to represent FC Olympia and Washington Premier in USL League Two (men) and USL W League (women) competition.
The collaboration was developed by Ryan Perkins, President of FC Olympia, and Seth Spidahl, CEO of Washington Premier FC. Both club leaders share a deep passion for creating a high-quality soccer environment where ambitious athletes can chase their professional dreams.
“This partnership solidifies a development pathway for not only players but also coaches in the south end of the Puget Sound — from youth to college to the professional ranks,” said Ryan Perkins. “We’re thrilled to align with Washington Premier’s tradition of excellence and showcase the area’s talent in the USL platform.”
Over the years, FC Olympia has seen 30 of its players enter the professional scene, including Katherine Asman (Portland Thorns, Lexington), Mariah Lee ( Vancouver Rise, DC Power, Reign) and Cameron Miller (Spokane Velocity) to name a few.
Washington Premier & FC Olympia – A History Explained
The connection between the two clubs runs deep. Liviu Bird, a long-time Washington Premier youth coach and current professional Oakland Roots coach, led FC Olympia’s USL League Two men’s side to its first national playoff run in 2023 — highlighted by a dramatic upset victory over the nation’s #1-ranked team, Ballard FC at Interbay Stadium.

Similarly, Rachel Ross, another Washington Premier youth coach, was the first-ever head coach of the FC Olympia women’s program in 2022 and served as assistant coach during the inaugural USL W League season in 2023. Jason Prenovost, heralded local college gaffer and ECNL coach at Washington Premier was acting USL Technical Director for FC Olympia in 2025.
“WPFC is excited about partnering with FC Olympia and the USL” said Seth Spidahl CEO at Washington Premier. “Our goal is to always be the top club in the South Sound area, and we have admired what FC Olympia has done both on and off the field for the past few years, this partnership gives us a pathway from micro soccer to the adult level. Many of our past and current coaches and players have been a part of FC Olympia so this was an easy decision.”
A Hallmark | USL Women’s Program
The FC Olympia USL W League team has quickly become one of the most successful programs in the nation. The team has finished #1 in the Northwest Division three consecutive years, earning three straight USL National Playoff appearances and an impressive #3 national ranking in 2025. With only two losses in three years, FC Olympia stands among the elite of the USL W League nationwide.

With the partnership announcement Seth Spidahl has also been named the new USL W League Head Coach with the departure of 2025 coach Kellyn Green to Colorado. Spidahl is one of Washington’s most accomplished soccer developers and leaders. As CEO of Washington Premier FC, he has built one of the state’s premier youth soccer organizations, recognized for producing top collegiate, professional, and national team players.
“There has been no club better in our minds than providing these opportunities than FC Olympia. I want to thank Ryan Perkins for the opportunity. Our past and current WPFC players will be very excited to have the opportunity to compete at the USL W League and USL League 2! GO PREMIER!” -Seth Spidahl
Welcoming Seth Spidahl to FC Olympia
Before leading Washington Premier, Spidahl spent three decades coaching at the highest levels of the college game. He has served as head coach of Pacific Lutheran University and was a longtime assistant coach with the University of Washington men’s soccer team, helping the Huskies secure Pac-10 titles and national tournament runs.
Spidahl also serves as Commisioner of the RCL for Washington State Youth Soccer and is committed to player development, coaching education, and building high-performance environments that emphasize both technical excellence and character. Under his leadership, Washington Premier FC has become a hub for elite youth soccer, competing nationally in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) and Regional Club League (RCL), and sending hundreds of players to college programs and the professional ranks.

“Our goal is to provide a pathway to pro for our past and current college alumni, and current top youth players at WPFC” said Spidahl.
His collaboration with FC Olympia represents a natural extension of his mission — to ensure that players in the Pacific Northwest have a complete and sustainable “Path to Pro” organization.
Integration and Player Development
