FC Olympia Big Two Win Weekend

OLYMPIA, WA – The USL men played crosstown rival the Tacoma Stars for the first time in 2025 on the road at Bellarmine Prep High School Saturday night. A standout showing from Yuta Shimazu (Pacific Lutheran University) proved to be the difference with two goals but more importantly a 91st minute stoppage time goal to secure the win.

The USL W League continues its 2025 campaign with a comfortable win over Bigfoot FC 6-0 at home at the Regional Athletic Complex last Friday night. Ginny Lackey converted 3 goals to break the FC Olympia single season record of 8 by McKenna Martinez. Lackey now has 10 goals this year in just 6 matches. Lackey is trending to break the career goal record in just one season which is currently held by McKenna Martinez (17 goals).

The #10 nationally ranked FC Olympia women go on the road for three matches before returning home for an epic showdown against #2 Salmon Bay on June 27th.

Both USL teams head to Eugene, Oregon midweek to play at the new professional USL soccer stadium renovation (Civic Stadium) against Lane United. Be sure to follow Instagram and Facebook for live updates.
