OLYMPIA, WA – The Artesian men returned home Saturday from a six-match road series that yielded two wins, three losses and one draw in USL League Two play. This is the fourth year in the USL men’s franchise for the Thurston County based FC Olympia club and the third time they sit in the bottom half of the Northwest Table.
USL League Two

Midlakes United who scored a late game winning goal in the first bout in Bellevue back on June 6, 2025 did the same Saturday in a nailbiter that saw an early goal from Jake Simson but however couldn’t hold onto the margin in the waning minutes Saturday. Another late goal from Midlakes to equalize but this time on the Artesians fifth starting goalkeeper of the year, Gio Aguilar-Guiterriez (PLU).
The men are currently in 7th place at .86 points per match and the most losses in the entire Northwest Division. The saving grace is a whopping 4-game home match series to close out the season with 12 points at stake starting June 29th at home against Lane United.

USL W League
USL Women went to Eugene, OR earlier in the week and handled business 3-1 against Lane United which catapulted them to #3 in the USL Nation Ranking. However brake lights on Sunday in Seattle, WA in the form of newcomer Salmon Bay FC would yield the first loss for the franchise in its 3-year regular season history.

What appeared to be offsides but subsequent “non-call” Sadie Sider-Enchenberg scored a header for Salmon Bay just beyond the reach of Artesian keeper Faith Nguyen (Texas Tech) in the third minute. The goal would prove to be the only marked difference in the game. Nguyen was a force in the back making several key, incredible saves and never letting the competitive energy go despite going down early.
Both teams settled in quickly after the third minute goal and the teams battled back and forth on a hot summer day at Interbay Stadium.
The two teams currently sit atop the Northwest Division and meet for a final time Friday, June 27 in Olympia, Washington which happens to be the final home match for the Artesian Women of 2025.
Tickets are available for this epic showdown at fcoly.com.

But first the women will head to West Seattle to face off against the Rhodies Wednesday in Seattle who posed an early threat to FC Olympia but has since lost to last place Bigfoot and already has two draws.
It is still undecided who will go to nationals from the Northwest Division and all fates decided Friday June 27th in Olympia between the Artesians and Salmon Bay.
