FC Olympia Adds 2026 Athletes Including Baylor Standouts

OLYMPIA, WA – FC Olympia continues to build momentum heading into the 2026 USL season announcing a strong group of collegiate commitments set to join the Artesians this summer across both USL W League and USL League Two squads.

FC Olympia has secured three USL W Division Titles since their franchise inception in 2023. Today we get to meet a couple of the athletes coming to Olympia, Washington this summer.

USL W Welcomes Baylor Standouts

FC Olympia announced on social media Friday, Baylor University student-athletes Azul Alvarez and Keira Martin to join FC Olympia for the upcoming USL W League season.

Azul Alvarez arrives as one of the top goalkeepers in NCAA Division I soccer. The Baylor senior goalkeeper started all 23 matches during the 2025 season recording 12 shutouts and 97 saves while helping lead the Bears to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 and a Big 12 Tournament semifinal appearance. Alvarez earned All-Big 12 First Team honors and was named Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week twice.

Internationally, Alvarez brings elite experience having represented Mexico at the U15, U17 and U20 national team levels including participation in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup where she also earned the CONCACAF U15 Golden Glove Award.

Joining her from Baylor is defender Keira Martin who recently transferred from Santa Clara logging a team season record for minutes across 18 division one matches. Martin led her youth club team to two League 1 National Championships and three-time League 1 Provincial Championships in Canada.

She also has extensive national team experience with the U15 and U17 Canadian National Team. Martin helped Canada secure silver medal at the U15’s CONCACAF Championship. Keira also was named to the 2025 Canada U20 team for the Concacaf Championship qualifiers.

Both will be coached by Seth Spidahl in his third year of coaching USL W League and in his first year as gaffer for the FC Olympia side.


USL Men Add Northwest Roots

FC Olympia welcomes three local additions to the USL League Two roster for 2026 signed by new head coach Luke Sandblom.

Forward Finn Reynolds is a Cal-Berkely spring roster commit that hails from Bainbridge, Washington. Finn played youth at PacNW and looks to make an immediate impact in the ACC for division one program the Cal Bears.

Midfielder Connor Louden joins the Artesians from Pacific University. A product of Washington Premier FC Loudon represents the strong regional development pathway connecting elite local youth soccer programs to FC Olympia’s first team in USL. Louden has significant USL Two experience as well as local pro-am regional leagues having played for Junction FC and Port Orchard FC.

FC Olympia also adds goalkeeper Aidan Strickler who currently competes at Westmont College following time at NCAA Division I program Lipscomb University. Strickler played youth soccer at PacNW and will bring local flavor to FC Olympia.
