TACOMA, WA – FC Olympia scored seven goals in front of a lively beer garden crowd at the Tacoma Soccer Center against South Sound FC (SSFC) to kick off the first round of Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) Playoffs. The Artesian road playoff win is the first ever in the clubs 10-year arena history.
The Artesians came into the playoffs as a number five seed having lost against SSFC earlier in the year away and drawing 4-4 at home. Tiebreakers resulting in head to head made the Artesians hit the road for the opening playoff round where previous to this season never experienced a postseason arena road win.
Jesus Flores drew first blood on an errant clear from a sound defender to go up early 1-0. From there goals from Nigel El Sokkary, Kasey Sidor and Alan Barragan would have FC Olympia go into half 4-0.

Isaiah Damschen got the nod from skipper Nick Boatright and Captain Nate Boatright and showed well in his shot stopping abilities not conceding a goal for almost 45 minutes straight. Damschen has played the most minutes between the sticks all year and had 14 saves on the night.
Second half goals from Kainoa Wong, Jesus Flores and Alan Barragan would seal the Artesians fate for heading to the WISL Semifinals held in Bellingham. Artesians are no strangers to the Bellingham Sportsplex having trekked there just a week ago completing a neck and neck battle losing 5-6.
