OLYMPIA, WA – The “Artesians” announced on Thursday a free ticketing initiative for local elementary and middle schools. FC Olympia posted on their Instagram a photo of thousands of individuals ticket rolls for USL matches. The Oly Soccer Foundation has subsidized free ticketing to kid’s for the last three years but this is the first program where actual hard tickets will be delivered to local schools to distribute.
“We will be walking over thousands of tickets and ticket rolls to each school over the next month” said a club official. “The Artesians for years have tried to make matches accessible to youth and in this regard we hope to see many more families come out to games to enjoy USL stadium soccer and the fun kid’s zone and a fun soccer watching experience.”
Local Saint Martin’s University Business and Marketing students Connor Leistiko and AJ Killion have been a part of the planning and execution of this new free ticketing initiative. Both are student-athletes with interests in sports management and will be managing all interns for FC Olympia this summer for USL game days.
The FC Olympia “Artesians” compete in a path to pro soccer league featuring the top college players from around the nation as well as pro players. The Artesians have seen 18 of their players sign professional contracts in just two years of USL soccer.
