Yosue Hat Trick Leads FC Olympia to Sixth Straight USL W League Win

OLYMPIA, WA – The Artesians hosted Capital FC of Salem, Oregon at South Sound Stadium Friday night in the final meet up between the two USL W League squads. The last affair was a 7-0 win on the road on May 31st. FC Olympia came into the match as the #7 team in the USL National Rankings as the team only has four matches left in the season.

Head Coach Raphael Cox got his second win on the season as 5 different goalscorers found the back of the net. Sydney Stephens (University of Illinois), Sophie Beadle (Washington State University), Ameera Hussen (University of Washington) and Suzuka Yosue with the hat trick (three goals).

Yosue is a second year FC Olympia athlete in the USL W League and was a standout all conference and team record holder for NCAA Division I Citadel back east in South Carolina. Suzuka transferred to the Pac-12 Conference to Arizona State University in 2023 where she played her final year of college soccer. Her three goals helped artesians increase their goal differential which will likely come into play for national playoff seeding to +32.
