LACEY, WA – FC Olympia and the “Artesians” announced Saturday their home venue for the 2024 USL soccer season will be South Sound Stadium at North Thurston High School. This is the second year the club has played at the largest stadium in Thurston County and also released single match tickets for the USL W League and USL League Two 2024 season.
The Artesians have signed players from around the United States as path to professional USL leagues boast summer competition for college athletes. Both USL Men’s Coach Jason Dunn and USL Women’s Coach Ben Willis have been busy compiling roster signings for the 2024 season which thus far has 16 NCAA Division I players on the men’s side and 24 NCAA Division I USL women. More signings are expected to come for both franchises.

The player pool also features national team players such as Shu Ohba (Japan Nat’l Team), Murphy Sheaff (New Zealand Nat’l Team), Jolie St Louis (Trinidad & Tobago Nat’l Team), Sadie Sider-Echenberg and Serita Thurston (Canada Nat’l Team) and Gavin Muens (Philippine Nat’l Team).

The Artesians also released friendly schedules that include matches against Crossfire Premier, Wenatchee All-Stars and Reign FC (WPSL). USL regular season begins May 18 as the USL Women host the Tacoma Galaxy at South Sound Stadium, kickoff set for 7PM.
The USL schedule will see the rivalry continue between FC Olympia and Ballard FC in League Two as the Artesians were the sole team to beat Ballard in 2023 who were the eventual USL National Champions. The USL W side will continue its United PDX rivalry which saw two draws and one win for the Artesians in 2023 but the two clubs will not meet until the second half of the 2024 season.
USL matches will have food, drink, promotional activities and stamped re-entry so spectators can tailgate before and at halftime.
