The Oly Town Artesian Men hosted Western Indoor Soccer League (WISL) newcomer Vancouver Lightning for the first of two league match ups in the St Helen’s Division. The Lightning going into Saturdays match yielded a 0-4-0 record meanwhile the Artesians came in tied for first place in the division with South Sound FC.
Oly Town would win the match scoring 10 unanswered goals until the 3rd period win when Vancouver finally scored. The Artesians would go on to score 5 more to secure a 15-2 victory at the Evergreen State College Pavilion.
Manny Nicasio and Kasey Sidor both had hat tricks while Alan Barragan tallied 2 goals. Nate Boatright, Raymundo Curiel, Brian Lincona, Alex Lopez and Jordan Zimmerman would all add one goal on the night.
Isaiah Damschen started in goal for the Artesians and did not concede a goal for 30 minutes between the sticks. Colin Hauser entered the game and added 4 saves and gave up two goals to Vancouver.

The win marks the 22nd month of Nick Boatright’s led Artesian Arena Men’s program being undefeated at home. The lads have a month-long break for the holidays and WISL play and return to the Pavilion January 6th to take on the Snohomish Steelheads who are currently last in the Puget Sound division with a 0-4-0 record.
Oly Town 4 Oly-Pen Force 7
The Artesian Arena Women traveled to Bremerton, Washington to open Northwest Premier League (NWPLi) play. It was the first game back from a year long hiatus and skipper Matt Herrera’s return to the indoor ranks as skipper. The Force came into the game as a one-loss opponent having lost to the Tacoma Galaxy in week one NWPLi competition.


Whitney Self scored 2 goals while Sarah Peterson and Lena White added a goal a piece. My’kel Jones got the nod as starting keeper for the Artesians and helped the Artesians stay neck and neck till the 4th Period. Kaitlyn Hansen and Eden Comstock both had assists on the night however Hansen would go down with a game-ending injury.
Despite going into the fourth period tied 4-4 Oly-Pen added 3 goals in the period to distance themselves and get their first win of the NWPLi season 7-4. The Force currently sit in third place with tiebreaker rules in place meanwhile Oly Town goes into week three in fourth place.
